تمیز

تمیز (tamiz) means clean, neat, or tidy in Persian. Borrowed from Turkic, it describes physical cleanliness and forms the core verb tamiz kardan (to clean), with kasif (dirty) as its direct antonym.

مرده

مرده (morde) means dead or a dead person in Persian. The past participle of mordan (to die), it works as both adjective and noun, and appears in compounds like mordeshu (corpse-washer).

یارو

یارو (yâru) is a colloquial Persian noun for that guy or fellow, used to refer dismissively to an absent third person. It traces to yâr (companion) plus a colloquial suffix that adds vague indefiniteness.

زود

زود (zud) means quickly, soon, or early in Persian. It is a pure Persian adverb that describes both speed of action and earliness in time, and appears in the everyday command زود باش meaning hurry up.

فیلم

فیلم (film) means movie or film in Persian, borrowed from English. Colloquially, film bâzi kardan means to fake or put on a performance, used when someone is overdramatizing or acting insincere.

خالی

خالی (khâli) means empty or vacant in Persian. Borrowed from Arabic root KH-L-W, it covers physical emptiness, emotional hollowness, and in colloquial speech can mean free of charge.

مشت

مشت (mosht) means fist or a rough handful in Persian. A pure Persian word from Middle Persian musht, it covers the closed hand ready to strike and the approximate measure of a fistful.

جمع

جمع (jam’) means gathering, group, or total and is the grammar term for plural. From Arabic root J-M-‘, it appears in jam’ shodan (to gather) and jam’ kardan (to collect or tidy).

خوبی

خوبی (khubi) means goodness, wellbeing, or kindness in Persian. Built from khub (good) plus the suffix -i, it covers moral virtue, simple kindness, and the verb phrase khubi kardan (to do good).

چیکار

چیکار (chikâr) is the colloquial contraction of چه کار (what to do). Used only in speech, it anchors the everyday question چیکار کنم? (what should I do?).
