What it means

روز (ruz) means “day.” Native Persian word, used for both the 24-hour day and daytime (vs. night). Foundation A1 vocabulary used dozens of times a day.

How to use it

• روز خوبی است (ruz-e khubi ast) “It is a good day”
• هر روز کار می‌کنم (har ruz kâr mikonam) “I work every day”
• روزها طولانی‌تر شده‌اند (ruz-hâ tulâni-tar shode-and) “The days have grown longer”
