معذرت

معذرت (ma’zerat) means apology or excuse in Persian, borrowed from Arabic. It appears in everyday phrases like معذرت می‌خوام (I’m sorry / excuse me) and the verb معذرت خواستن (to apologise).

اصلی

اصلی (asli) means main, original, principal, or authentic in Persian. Borrowed from Arabic, it derives from asl (root, origin) and appears in everyday phrases like ورودی اصلی (main entrance) and مشکل اصلی (the main problem).

انسان

انسان (ensân) means human being, person, or mankind in Persian. Borrowed from Arabic, it carries a philosophical and ethical weight beyond the everyday word for a person, and appears in phrases like حقوق انسان (human rights).

حاضر

حاضر (hâzer) means ready, present, or willing in Persian. Borrowed from Arabic, it covers the meanings of being prepared to act, being physically present, and being willing to do something.

کاغذ

کاغذ (kâghaz) is the standard Persian word for paper. It entered Persian through Turkic channels, making it a Turkish-Mongol borrowing, and shows up in compounds like کاغذبازی (bureaucracy) and the phrase روی کاغذ (on paper).

اینا

اینا (inâ) is the colloquial Persian plural pronoun meaning these or these people. It is the spoken shortening of اینها, used constantly in everyday conversation to point at nearby things or refer to a group of people.

یک‌هو

یک‌هو (yekho) means all of a sudden or out of nowhere. This colloquial Persian adverb compresses یک (one) and هو (moment or breath) into a single word that signals something unexpected happening instantly.

همچین

همچین (hamchin) is a colloquial Persian word meaning like this, such, or so. It works as a demonstrative adverb and also as an intensifier, as in همچین خوشمزه‌ای meaning so delicious.

دزد

دزد (dozd) is the everyday Persian word for a thief or burglar. Pure Persian in origin, it sits at A2 level and appears in compounds like دزدی کردن (to steal) and the vivid phrase دزد اومده (a thief came in).

بو

بو (bu) is the Persian word for smell or scent. بو دادن means to give off a smell, بو کشیدن means to sniff something, and بوی خوب means a good smell. It covers everything from fragrance to stench.
