جالباسی

What it means

جالباسی (jâlebâsi) means “coat rack” or “clothes stand,” the standing or wall-mounted fixture where you hang coats, jackets, and bags. It is a transparent Persian compound: جا (place) plus لباس (clothes), literally a place for clothes. A single hanger or hook is a رخت‌آویز, while جالباسی is usually the larger stand or row of hooks, often near the entrance.

How to use it

• کاپشنت رو جالباسی آویزون کن (kâpshenet ro jâlebâsi âvizun kon) “hang your jacket on the coat rack”
