The Complete Persian Alphabet Chart

32 letters. Four positional forms each. isolated (standalone), initial (start of word), medial (middle), final (end). Persian is written right to left, and most letters connect to the letter before them. The exceptions are listed in the next section.

The 7 Non-Connecting Letters

These connect to the letter before them (on their right), but never to the letter after. When one appears mid-word, it breaks the visual chain.
