لباس شب

عرق‌چین

عرق‌چین (araq-chin) is the traditional Persian skullcap worn under a turban or hat. The name combines the Arabic word for sweat with the Persian verb to gather, making it a sweat-gatherer.

شلیته

شلیته (shaliteh) is a short pleated skirt worn over trousers as part of Iranian regional folk costumes. Still seen in the traditional dress of Gilan, Lorestan, and Kermanj communities.

ابریشم (abresham) means silk in Persian. It is a word of ancient Iranian origin, attested in Middle Persian as abrêšom, and names the natural protein fiber produced by silkworms, prized for its sheen and softness.

تافته

تافته (tâfteh) means taffeta in Persian. It is a pure Persian word derived from the verb تافتن (tâftan), meaning to spin or to weave, and refers to a crisp, lustrous woven fabric with a distinct rustle.
