What it means
بازوبند (bâzubând) is a compound of two native Persian words: بازو (bâzu, meaning arm or upper arm) and بند (band, meaning tie, strap, or fastening). Together they describe any band worn around the upper arm, whether a decorative armband, a sports band, or a traditional piece of jewellery. It is a neutral, everyday word without poetic elevation. A related but distinct item is دستبند (dastband), which refers to a bracelet worn at the wrist rather than the upper arm.
