Sepah Khabar (سپاه خبر) is an internal news and communications channel of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps used to coordinate the force and disseminate political-ideological direction from the Representative of the Guardian Jurist.
Operates on the IRGC's internal information rails. Distributes commander appointments, operational announcements, force-wide political guidance from the Representative of the Guardian Jurist office, and internal disciplinary news. The channel is one of the working tools through which IRGC political-ideological deputies communicate the Supreme Leader's line to commanders and Basij organisers. Output rarely reaches foreign readers and is not indexed by mainstream Persian-language search engines.
Sepah Khabar is the IRGC talking to itself. That is its value in this glossary. When the regime issues a public line through Fars or Tasnim, the parallel internal line going out through Sepah Khabar is usually the more honest one about what commanders are being told to do next.
Because most outside readers know the IRGC's public outlets (Fars, Tasnim, Kayhan) and almost nothing about the internal channels that move force-wide direction. Naming Sepah Khabar is part of mapping the architecture honestly.
What it is
سپاه خبر (Sepah Khabar) is an internal news and communications channel of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps used for force-wide coordination and political messaging within the IRGC and its affiliated bodies, including the Basij. It is far less visible publicly than Fars News or Tasnim, and most of its output never reaches a foreign audience. BBC Monitoring and AEI’s IRGC studies cite Sepah Khabar as one of the channels through which the political-ideological deputy of the IRGC, the Representative of the Guardian Jurist, communicates official positions to commanders and rank-and-file. For force-coordination announcements, mobilisation calls, and internal disciplinary news, this is one of the regime’s working channels.
