تبرک
/ tabarrok /
noun · blessed object
Meaning
معنی۱
The practice is rooted in the Shia idea that holy people and holy places transmit barakat (blessing) to physical things around them. A piece of bread baked in the kitchens of the Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad is not chemically different from any other bread, but it has been near the shrine, blessed in a prayer, and shared in a sacred space. That is enough to make it tabarrok.
