What it means
لینکتری (link-tri) is a direct borrowing of the brand name Linktree, the popular link-in-bio aggregator service. In Persian social media circles, it is used both as a proper noun referring to the Linktree platform and as a generic term for any page that collects multiple links under one URL. You might also hear it called لینک بیو (link bio) or simply لینک (link), but لینکتری is the most specific and recognizable term for the aggregator format. There is no native Persian equivalent in common use.
How to use it
- لینکتریم تو بیوئه. (link-trim tu biyue.) “My Linktree is in my bio.”
- لینکتری درست کردی؟ (link-tri dorost kardi?) “Did you set up a Linktree?”
- همه لینکام رو تو لینکتری گذاشتم. (hame linkâm ro tu link-tri gozâshtam.) “I put all my links on my Linktree.”
- لینکتریشو چک کن. (link-trisho chek kon.) “Check their Linktree.”
Cultural note
Iranian content creators adopted Linktree as soon as Instagram limited profile links to one URL, and the brand name became a generic term almost immediately. Because Instagram is one of the most used platforms in Iran despite periodic restrictions, the link-in-bio format is well understood across generations of Iranian social media users. Alternatives such as Beacons or Tap.bio exist but are far less commonly named in Persian conversation, where لینکتری functions as the default label for the entire category.
