noun  ·  threshold, sanctuary

Meaning

معنی
۱

The dargâh tradition in Iran is older than the Islamic Republic and predates much of organized Shia clerical authority. It comes mainly from Sufi orders, which built shrines around the tombs of their masters and used them as gathering places for prayer, music, and votive practice. Famous examples include the Dargâh of Sheikh Safi al-Din in Ardabil (a UNESCO site) and the shrine of Shah Neʾmatollah Vali near Kerman.
