What it means
امنیت سایبری (amniyyat-e sâybari) means “cybersecurity,” the practice of protecting computers, networks, and data from digital attacks. امنیت comes from the Arabic root amn, meaning safety or security, and entered Persian through Arabic. سایبری adapts the English word “cyber” by adding the Persian adjectival suffix -i, making it a cross-origin compound. The term is used in both professional IT contexts and everyday news coverage whenever data breaches, ransomware, or online fraud are discussed.
