What it means
تایید (ta’yid) is borrowed from Arabic تأييد (ta’yid), from the root أ-ي-د meaning to support or strengthen, and in Persian it means confirmation, approval, or validation. You use it when an authority officially confirms something is correct, genuine, or approved. The verb form تایید کردن (ta’yid kardan) means to confirm or to approve. A near synonym is تصویب (tasveeb), but تصویب tends to mean formal legislative approval, while تایید covers everyday confirmation of documents, identities, and decisions.
