اسفند (esfand) is the 12th and final month of the Persian solar calendar, late February through late March.

بهمن (bahman) is the 11th month of the Persian solar calendar, late January through late February.

دی (dey) is the 10th month of the Persian solar calendar, late December through late January.

آذر (âzar) is the 9th month of the Persian solar calendar, late November through late December.

آبان (âbân) is the eighth month of the Persian solar calendar, Oct 23 to Nov 21. Named for the Zoroastrian Yazata of waters. Also tied to the November 2019 protests.

مهر (mehr) is the seventh month of the Persian solar calendar, Sep 23 to Oct 22. Named for the Zoroastrian Yazata Mithra, of covenant and light.

شهریور (shahrivar) is the sixth month of the Persian solar calendar, Aug 23 to Sep 22. Named for a Zoroastrian Yazata of dominion.

مرداد (mordâd) is the fifth month of the Persian solar calendar, Jul 23 to Aug 22. Named for a Zoroastrian Yazata of immortality.

تیر (tir) is the fourth month of the Persian solar calendar, Jun 22 to Jul 22. Named for the Zoroastrian Yazata of rain and the star Sirius.
