noun · wedding
Meaning
معنی۱
An Iranian aroosi is long, loud, and full of food. Traditional weddings in Iran can run four to six hours, with 200 to 1,000 guests in larger families. The night moves through stages: an arrival reception with sweets and tea, an orchestra or DJ playing a mix of Persian pop, classic Iranian dance music, and Bandari, dance floors that fill before dinner is even served, a multi-course meal usually featuring chelo-kabab, zereshk-polo with morgh, and salads, and sweets and fruit afterward. The bride and groom often enter to live music, and family members may perform a choreographed dance to greet them.
