What Works

It's free. That alone puts it in a different category. For learners who aren't ready to invest money in Persian learning, this is a legitimate starting point. The interactive exercises give immediate feedback, which print textbooks can't do.

The university backing means the linguistic information is accurate. The Persian script instruction is solid, and grammar explanations follow academic standards. Being online means updates and corrections happen without buying a new edition.

What Doesn't Work for Persian Learners

The academic tone can feel dry. University textbooks aren't designed for engagement; they're designed for students who have a grade on the line. Without that external motivation, many self-learners will lose interest before finishing.

The content covers only beginner material. The interactive exercises, while useful, are limited in variety. You'll get fill-in-the-blank and matching exercises, but nothing that pushes toward real communication. You'll outgrow it in a month and need to invest in better resources. Use it as your free trial of Persian learning.
