گل گفتن (gol goftan) combines گل (flower, meaning something beautiful or perfect) with گفتن (to say). Together they form a colloquial expression used to praise someone who has just said something spot-on, eloquent, or deeply true. The closest English equivalents are “well said” or “you hit the nail on the head,” but the Persian phrase carries a warmer, more poetic tone. A near synonym is حرف درستی زدی (harfe dorostî zadî), meaning “you spoke correctly,” though that phrase lacks the floral warmth of گل گفتن.
