برادرزاده

In traditional Iranian patrilineal kinship, برادرزاده occupies a particular position: the brother's child carries the family name and the family line. This historically gave the relationship slightly more inheritance weight than خواهرزاده, since a sister's child took her husband's family name. The legal codes have shifted, but the cultural texture sometimes still leans this direction in older or more conservative families.
