پرسیدن

Iranian classrooms run on porsidan. Teachers open the lesson with "sho'âli dârid?" (any questions?) and "bepors" (ask). On the street, asking for directions is "bebakhshid, mitavânam yek su'âl beporsam?" (excuse me, may I ask a question?). The polite frame matters more than the question itself.
