میانسالی

The word is fairly clinical, used in essays, news, and medical contexts more than casual conversation. Most Iranians don't say "I'm in my miyânsâli" the way an American says "I'm middle-aged". They'd describe themselves by role: a parent, a manager, a homeowner. The midlife crisis concept (bohrân-e miyânsâli) is borrowed from Western pop psychology and now widely used.
