What it means
باور (bâvar) means belief, conviction, or trust. It is a genuine native Persian word descended from Middle Persian, not a borrowing. You will hear it constantly in daily conversation: to say you believe something, you say باورم میشه (bâvaram mishe), and to say something is hard to believe, you say باور نمیشه (bâvar nemishe). A close synonym is اعتقاد (e’teqâd), which carries a slightly more formal or religious tone, while باور feels more immediate and personal.
