از دیدنتون خوشحالم (az didanetun khoshhâlam) means “I am happy to see you” and is used as a warm greeting when meeting someone. Iranians often use it with elders, guests, or anyone they want to honor with a warm reception. The formal plural form (دیدنتون instead of دیدنت) is used even when speaking to a single person as a mark of politeness, which is a typical feature of Persian register. Saying this phrase while making eye contact and perhaps placing a hand on the chest adds to its warmth in face-to-face interaction.
