The noun کامنت is borrowed from the English word “comment,” which itself traces back through French to Latin “commentum.” In Persian this loanword is combined not with کردن but with گذاشتن (to put or leave something somewhere), which gives the action a concrete, physical flavour: you are placing something in a space. A formal Persian alternative is نظر دادن (nazar dâdan, to give an opinion), though in the digital context کامنت گذاشتن is far more natural in speech.
