What it means
غمگین (ghamgin) describes a person who is sad, sorrowful, or heavy-hearted. The word is built from غم (gham), an Arabic loanword meaning grief or sorrow, plus the native Persian suffix ـگین, which forms adjectives expressing a state of being.
