صداپیشه (sedâ-pishe) refers to a voice actor or dubbing artist: someone who provides the voice for animated characters, dubbed foreign films, or audio narration. The compound word joins صدا (sedâ, meaning “sound” or “voice”, borrowed from Arabic صَدى meaning “echo”) and پیشه (pishe, meaning “profession” or “craft”, a pure Persian word). The result is a standard modern Persian compound of mixed origin. A related term is دوبلور (dublur), a more informal term borrowed from French “doubleur”, also meaning dubber.
