بذار بره (bezâr bere) is a pure-Persian colloquial phrase meaning ‘let it go,’ ‘forget about it,’ or ‘move on.’ It is made up of بذار (bezâr), the everyday spoken form of بگذار (begozâr, from گذاشتن, to put or leave), and بره (bere), the everyday spoken form of برود (boravad, from رفتن, to go). Together the phrase literally says ‘let it go away.’ It is used to dismiss a topic, end an argument, or encourage someone to stop dwelling on something. In tone it ranges from gentle and comforting to blunt and impatient depending on context. A close synonym is ولش کن (volash kon), which also means ‘drop it’ or ‘leave it.’
