What it means
بشکنبشکن (beshkan-beshkan) is formed by doubling the imperative form of شکستن (shekastan, to break or snap): بشکن (beshkan) means “snap!” The reduplication creates a noun that names the act of rhythmic finger-snapping as part of Iranian music and dance. It is entirely native Persian in all its components. In a celebration, a wedding, or a street party, بشکنبشکن is not simply noise: it keeps the collective rhythm, invites others to dance, and signals that the gathering has reached a peak of energy.
