What it means
گواهینامه پزشکی (govâhinâme-ye pezeshki) is the formal Persian term for a medical certificate or doctor’s note, an official document issued by a physician confirming a patient’s diagnosis, condition, or fitness status. The word گواهینامه is itself a compound of two native Persian words: گواهی (govâhi, testimony or attestation) from گواه (govâh, witness) and نامه (nâme, letter or document). The adjective پزشکی (pezeshki, medical) specifies that this certificate comes from a doctor. A close synonym is گواهی پزشکی (govâhi-ye pezeshki), which is slightly shorter and used interchangeably in practice.
